Stair lifts; making lives easier
Published June 17th, 2009 in Wheelchair, StairliftsFor people with mobility problems, stair lifts provide an excellent solution to the difficulty of climbing stairs. People who have mobility problems may be tempted to shy away from locations where there is a staircase to contend with, but with a stair lift this problem is removed.
The convenient lifts are built to take people up and down staircases with ease and are available as both battery operated and electrical powered versions, making them easily installed both in and outside of the house.
Stair lifts are built to cope with a variety of stairways, from curved stairways, to straight ones and they don’t take up as much space as you might think.
With different people requiring a range of customisations, the stair lift can be altered to fit very specific needs. And they are extremely safe as they are fitted with seat belts and special sensors which halt the device as soon as there is an obstruction in its path.
With a stair lift, there is no reason why people in wheelchairs or anyone with mobility problems need have any concerns about climbing stairs again.
